The food industry is a complex and broad-ranging global system that faces the challenge of providing sufficient food to a rapidly growing population, amidst limited resources and the impacts of climate change. The current food system has emerged as a critical issue, as it affects environmental, community, and economic sustainability, human rights, policy and health.
This program tackles current problems and unpacks future directions for the food industry. It has a local focus but also explores wider issues affecting our food system. Guests will include farmers, chefs, researchers, economists, and policy makers.
The program will educate listeners on where and how food is produced, so that they can feel more connected to the food they eat and make more ethical consumer choices.
